During these past months, we have talked about a variety of issues and events that affect the whole world. However, in order to work on these, we must know what our goal is, that is, an ideal future. One of the fundamental industries in human civilization is fashion. It is an essential sector in modern economy. However, at present, this sector generates tons and tons of waste that is discharged without being processed in oceans. This has left an enormous impact on both the society and environment. That is why we have started moving towards sustainable fashion. The future of consumer and textile will shift towards Thrifting and Sustainable fashion. Let us first see how sustainable fashion will take over the world in the near future. When we hear the word sustainable, we think of fabrics made of jute and bamboo. While this does come under the same, there is more to sustainability than what we think. These days, recycled synthetics are being introduced in the market that can be made from almost everything: plastic bags, beer bottles, cork, hemp and flower leathers. Even though these trends are avoided in the present day, it will be quite popular in the near future. This is because these materials are both environment friendly and comfortable. We also find that Thrifting is a popular trend these days. But with time, it will become trendier. It is righty said that “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” However, apart from the fact that Thrifting is trendy, we find that is viewed as the future of fashion industry. It benefits the environment was reducing the waste products formed. Thrifting is based on ‘reduce, reuse and recycle’. People can donate and buy at thrift centers. It keeps clothes out of landfills and oceans and lowers the carbon footprint of the whole world. Because clothes are reused, it lessens the need to create more clothes and helps to preserve water and reduces chemical pollution.

To conclude, I would like to stress on how Fashion will impact the enviornment no matter what, unless we switch over entirely to both sustainable fashion and Thrifting. There are also alternative methods to reach that goal, however what the most important of these is the mindset of people and their will to change the world for the better.
